Is Adrian Peterson human? There is no way that he came back from major knee surgery months earlier than predicted and is in line to break to the rushing record. What Adrian Peterson is one of the best comeback stories ever, not just of 2012. During the end of last season, AP suffered a terrible knee injury that resulted in him needing ACL injury. The injury came during a game against the Washington Redskins when Peterson ran a ball into end zone from the one yard line. Normally, the injury can sideline a player for over a year, however, AP vowed that he would be able to start in the first game of the season and he made good on his promise. The scariest part about his return? He might be better than he was before the injury! He is able to shake off defenders, out run defenders, and make these impressive lateral jukes to avoid defenders. It is incredible to watch this guy perform and it is inspirational for any athlete recovering from an injury that it is possible to play again, that is, with very hard work. If it were up to me, I think I would have to give both Comeback Player of the Year and MVP honors to this guy.
