Personally, this is my favorite moment of the past five years! This moment inspired countless internet memes, one funnier than the next. It all took place during Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals in Indiana. Lance Stephenson had the task of guarding Lebron James and Stephenson is a player who will do whatever it takes to win. However, did we all just really watch him blow in James ear?!?! There is no way we all just watched that happen and did James really just laugh it off?!?!
It really did happen. Lance Stephenson blew in Lebron James’ ear and pretended like no one saw it. It must have worked because the James had a playoff career low seven points and the Pacers did win the game. After the game, James commented on the incident saying, “I’m just here to play basketball, man. All the extracurricular activities, I don’t really get into. I mean, I’m just trying to win. We need one more game to get the Finals. That’s my only concern. We put ourselves in a position to win tonight, and as competitors, as professionals, that’s what we are. At the end of the day, we put ourselves in a position to win.”
These two always go back and forth when they play each other. Unfortunately, the Pacers lost the series despite Stephenson doing all he could in the series finale.
