2015 was a great year for many athletes, none more so than golfer Jordan Spieth. 22-year-old Spieth was not a well known golfer like Rory McIlroy, having won only one PGA Tour prior to this year. That all changed, however, when he won both the US Masters and the US Open. The youngest to do so since Tiger Woods who won both at the age of 26. He tied Woods’ Masters 72-hole record of -18 as well. He also won the 2015 Tour Championship, clinching the 2015 FedEx Cup.
Spieth also tied for fourth in the Open Championship and second in the PGA Championship. He became sponsored by Under Armour, joining the likes of Steph Curry and Tom Brady. Not bad company right? As if he was not having a good enough year, Spieth took home over $12 million from all of his victories. He also won a cool $10 million for winning the FedEx Cup. He was also named PGA Player of the Year and won the Jack Nicklaus award. Who had a better year than Jordan Spieth? Not too many people!
