Two NFC powerhouse teams who will likely meet again in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were ran out of their house last year during the playoffs by the San Francisco 49ers. Rodgers and company has had months to plot their revenge, however, they have Colin Kaepernick to get through still. Kaepernick will look to prove that he is more than a one-year fluke as he enters his first full season as a starter.
This game has all the makings of a shoot out. Both quarterbacks have strong arms, but both teams are also missing key receivers. Greg Jennings departed to Minnesota, while the 49ers lost Michael Crabtree to injury.
Many are expecting a repeat of last year’s playoffs where the Packers could not stop Kaepernick, but how can you bet against Aaron Rodgers? The Packers’ defense knows what to expect with the read option and hopefully have planned accordingly. The Packers picked up Eddie Lacy which will hopefully put less pressure on Rodgers’ arm and make them a more balanced offense. Giving Rodgers a run game can make all the difference in this game.
