Snoop has been in Hernandez’s shoes. In 1993 Snoop was charged with murder when his bodyguard, McKinley Lee, shot and killed a rival gang member. Lee was acquitted based on grounds of self-defense. Snoop was also acquitted, but during a traffic stop four year later he was found to be in possession of a handgun.
However, this is quite a contradiction of “Snoop Lion”. Since joining the Rastafarian movement, Snoop has been against violence and his latest song is titled “No Guns Allowed”. Snoop has always been a controversial figure and this is only adding to it. However, we should all be praying for the family of Odin Lloyd instead.
