The former Patriots tight end has finally broken his silence. Since being arrested for first-degree murder of his friend Odin Lloyd, Aaron Hernandez had been silent on the issue. Finally, a letter has emerged from Hernandez showing that he appears to be in good spirits and believes he is innocent. TMZ confirms the letter is from Hernandez and that it was addressed to a former inmate named Karl. In the letter, Hernandez asks his friend not to put it on social media, so he sold it to TMZ. Hernandez really knows how to keep good company!
He goes on to write that this experience has “humbled” him and that “everything happens for a reason”. He calls himself a “great person” as well. Hernandez signs the letter like he would an autograph saying “Can’t wait to sign this again when I’m playing again”. It is good to see Hernandez believe in his innocence because not many do. He set to appear in court for a probable cause hearing later this month.
