As if the NFC North was not the most interesting division race in football, it just got even more interesting. The Bears-Packers game is a win and you’re in game and now Green Bay has the upper hand. After their season looked lost with the injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, they managed to keep their season afloat with quarterbacks Scott Tolzien, Seneca Wallace, and Matt Flynn. Now, they get their MVP back.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy made the announcement this afternoon that the quarterback would return to action this Sunday. McCarthy also commented that his quarterback has been eager to play for weeks. It was reported earlier that Rodgers had taken all the first team reps today in practice which was already an encouraging sign. He has been sidelined since November 4th after taking a hit by Chicago’s defensive end Shea McClellin.
