Recently drafted quarterback AJ McCarron has become equally, if not more, famous for his relationship with Katherine Webb. The couple recently got engaged and rumors swirled that they would have the entire wedding planning process taped for a potential reality show. While you probably could careless about another beautiful couple getting their own show, this couple did something extra special for McCarron’s biggest fan.
During his time at Alabama, McCarron gave back to the community. He frequently stopped by local children’s hospital to try and make children with awful diseases forget about being in the hospital even if it was just for a few moments. While at the hospital, he met a little girl named Starla Chapman. Starla is a beautiful five year old who overcame leukemia. She and McCarron made headlines together when he wore a bracelet she gave him during Alabama’s Nationals Championship game against Notre Dame. On the bracelet are the words “Just Trust”.

The two have remained in contact and McCarron’s future bride reached out to the little girl to ask her if she would be their flower girl. When asked, the little girl replied “Roll Tide!” There were reports that teams did not like they was McCarron carried himself and that is why he did not get drafted until the fifth round, but that is hard to believe based on tis story.
