If I asked you 24 hours ago, I bet you would say you were very confident in your bracket. Now that the first day of the NCAA tournament has begun, I would say most people are ready for next year. There was a few surprised on opening night, however, the biggest surprise came from number four seed Arizona who lost to… BUFFALO!!! Nothing against Buffalo, but nobody predicted this upset. It wasn’t one of those crazy, buzzer beater, last second miracle plays either. It was a full on blown by 21 points, the second largest win margin by a 13-seeded team.

It’s been a long season for Arizona who came under immense scrutiny after FBI wire taps caught head coach Sean Miller discussing the price of recruiting DeAndre Ayton to Arizona with a sports agent. Allegedly the price was at $100,000 for the 7 foot center. The school chose not to fire Miller.

After the end of the game, as a surprise to no one, DeAndre Ayton and Allonzo Trier both declared for the NBA draft. This was always the plan, however it comes a little earlier than expected. Ayton averaged a double double all season and is expected to be the first pick in the draft.
