Florida State University quarterback Jameis Winston will learn if his rookie season was all in vain just in time for the holidays. Winston has been linked to an alleged sexual assault in which the victim points the finger at him. The Tallahassee police have handed over evidence to Williams Meggs who is expected to make a decision on whether or not to file criminal charges against the Heisman hopeful. Meggs has interviewed several witnesses over the past few days. If Winston is charged with a felony, he will immediately be suspended and taken out of the Heisman race.
Winston has remained silent on the issue and has not addressed it publicly. The victim did not originally say Winston was responsible, but instead waited a month to accuse the quarterback. FSU has confirmed that Winston will start today’s game against Syracuse. He is currently having a tremendous season passing for 2,661 yards and possibly leading his team to the BCA Championship Bowl.
