The Cincinnati Bengals are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. They are also one of the most unreliable team. They have lost back to back games in overtimes and look to avoid being swept by the Cleveland Browns today. The first time these two teams met, the Browns won 17-6. The Bengals won four straight and quickly took the lead in the AFC North. Now they find themselves just two games above .500 with the Ravens and Browns quickly gaining ground on them.
Nobody expected the Browns to be involved in the playoff hunt this season. Earlier, they traded away Trent Richardson their first round running back, to the Indianapolis Colts. Many expected the Browns to build around Richardson, but they have done better without him. In exchange, they get the Colts first round draft pick in the 2014 draft which could be huge for them. Richardson has struggled with the Colts and has not really helped their running game get going. The Browns success has in large been due to their defense playing very well. With Andy Dalton struggling, this could be a big game for Cleveland’s defense. Dalton has had six interceptions in the Bengals past two losses and will have to play better in order for this team to turn it around.
As bad as the Bengals have played the last two weeks, I think they turn it around this week. They are not getting blown out in their losses, and they are not even playing that well. Dalton should be able to turn it around at home and not turn the ball over. Despite losing Geno Atkins, the Bengals defense is very talented and have the ability to get after the quarterback. Bengals vs. Browns- who you takin?
