All four home teams won to advance to the conference championships. While some games were pretty much what we expected, others left us stunned. Here are the best memes from each divisional game.
Kansas City Chiefs at New England Patriots
After 11 straight wins, including last week’s wild card win over the Houston Texans, the Chiefs’ streak came to an end at the hand of the New England Patriots.
Many criticized Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid for poor time management and bizarre play calling.
That win sent the Patriots to their 10th AFC Championship under Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Green Bay Packers at Arizona Cardinals
The game that had everyone talking was the match up between the Packers and the Cardinals. After back-and-forth lead changes throughout the game, the Packers tied it up with a 41-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Jeff Janis at the very last second of regulation. The Cardinals went into overtime fast and furious. First with a pass to Larry Fitzgerald that went for 75 yards, then the game winning touchdown pass to Fitzgerald.
The moment that had everyone scratching their head was the OT coin toss. According to the NFL rule book, there is nothing saying the coin has to actually flip.
That win marks quarterback Carson Palmer’s first playoff win in his 13-year career.
Seattle Seahawks at Carolina Panthers
There weren’t enough Michael Jordan crying faces in the world to describe how the Seahawks must have felt at halftime. The Panthers shutout the Seahawks 31-0 until the third quarter.
Quarterback Russel Wilson was sacked five times and threw two interceptions, one for a pick six.
The Panthers are already three point favorites to win the NFC Championship.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos
Some Cincinnati Bengals players had a good time poking fun the Steelers after their 23-16 loss to the Broncos.
And just like that, all is right in the world again 🌎😊😈

This might not have been the most exciting game, but the Broncos win over the Steelers led to ESPN’s dream scenario, Manning-Brady Playoff Game.
