Having been replaced by Chicago Blackhawks rookie Scott Darling during the Blackhawks’ first-round series against the Nashville Predators, Corey Crawford will make his return in game one of the Western Conference second round series against the Minnesota Wild.
Crawford started 57 consecutive Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Blackhawks, and allowed three goals on nine shots in game one, causing him to be pulled. Darling stepped in front of the net and stopped all 42 shots he was faced, leading Chicago to a double-overtime victory in that game.
Rookie Darling started in games three through six, but was pulled in game six after allowing three goals on twelve shots, where Crawford replaced him. In game six, the Blackhawks game back, winning 4-3, eliminating the Predators in six games of a best-of-seven series.
