The attack may have caused him to lose his leg, but Marc Fucarile’s spirit could not be broken! Furcaile was one of the many injured in last year’s attack at the Boston Marathon. Unfortunately, the bomb caused him to lose his right leg and suffer sever burns on his left. However, with the help of his bride-to-be Jen Regan, he was able to fulfill his wish of dancing at their wedding. He refused to have the wedding until he was able to accomplish this goal.
Well, Marc and Jen are now newlyweds! In true Bostonian style, the wedding took place at Fenway Park where the Red Sox call home. The bride looked beautiful in her white dress and the groom looked handsome in a navy suit and the assistance of a cane. Furcaile was able to stand for almost all of the portraits taken that day according to the couple’s photographer and he was able to dance with his blushing bride on their special day. He also saved a special dance for his mother.
The couple’s five-year old son Gavin served as his dad’s best man. Beautiful story of a couple overcoming tragedy! Congrats to both Jen and Marc!
