Carolina’s young quarterback has not been looking at his best this season. He has lead the Panthers to a 1-4 start heading into their bye week. Maybe it has something to do with his latest business venture. Newton is now a fashion design, sorta.
He’s not exactly going to be sketching and sewing all hours of the night, but more like I’ll slap my name on the product to make money. According to WWD.com, the line is said to be, “fashion-forward, versatile, professional apparel options for men”. It will be available next year at Belk department stores. Personally I have never heard of Belk, but I don’t shop much outside of Jersey.
Newton is a good candidate for fashion. He is good looking and does dress well when he is off the field. “I have a range of styles, but nothing flamboyant,” Cam told WWD. “I’m not into bow ties or suspenders, or pinks or purples. I’m more into sweater vests, clean slacks and blazers. I like preppie style sweaters. You’ll see me in a suit and tie, things on the traditional side.” He would be an even better candidate if he was a winner.
