It has not been a good year for Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony so far. First, it looked like his career with the Knicks is coming to an end as team president Phil Jackson announced that it would be best if he and the team went separate ways. His exact words were,
“We have not been able to win with him on the court at this time and I think the direction with our team is that he is a player that would be better off somewhere else and using his talent somewhere he can win or chase that championship.”
If that was not bad enough, TMZ is now reporting that he and his wife La La Anthony are living apart. The couple have been married for seven years and have an adorable ten-year-old son, Kiyan. Allegedly, La La moved out of the couple’s New York City home, but plans to stay in the city because of her son being in school there. The couple appears to be on friendly terms as they were both spotted at Kiyan’s basketball game. Unfortunately, unless he signs with the Nets, it looks like Melo will not be staying in New York.
