The Heat’s win streak is at 22 games and today looks like they will face their biggest competitor in the Boston Celtics. However, the Celtics may be without their big man, Kevin Garnett, for another game. Garnett is suffering from a strained thigh muscle that did not allow him to participate in practice.
While the Heat have cruised through their current winning streak, they have always struggled at TD Garden. The Celtics have rebounded well after losing key players to injury. They are 10-0 at home since losing Rondo to a torn ACL. Their first game without Rondo was against the Heat in which they won in double overtime.
One of these streaks will end tonight. I am going to go out on a limb and pick the Celtics to end the Heat’s streak. I also think that Garnett will play tonight because of how competitive he is. Rivers will probably leave the option open for Garnett to decide if he can go tonight, meaning he will play. I think this game will come down to the wire, but Paul Pierce will hit the game winner like he has done so many times before. Celtics vs. Heat, who you takin?
