This may be one of the biggest wins for six time NBA Champion Scottie Pippen. Pippen was facing charges after a scuffle broke out earlier in the summer outside of Malibu sushi restaurant Nobu. The alleged victim, Camran Shafighi, claimed that Pippen knocked him out after he asked the former Chicago Bull for an autograph and a picture. Pippen tells a different story and says that Shafighi was the aggressor and yelled racial slurs at Pippen as he left the restaurant holding his young daughter. To read the whole story, click here.
The Los Angeles District Attorney determined that there was not enough evidence to move forward with the case. It is unclear to tell if Pippen was the aggressor or acting in self defense. The victim was also deemed to be far from credible after testing positive for opiates and blowing a BAC of 0.18 at the time. Shafighi also filed a $4 million civil lawsuit against Pippen, but it will pretty hard to prove with the case being dropped.
