This is not the type of news Kansas City was expecting to hear as they face their biggest game this week. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was arrested on Sunday for speeding and possession of marijuana. Bowe’s Audi 8 was pulled over for speeding and when the officer approached the car he could smell marijuana coming from inside the car. Bowe and the two passengers were asked to step out of the car, and police allegedly found two containers of the drug.
Bowe, along with one of the passengers, were transported to the Riverside Police Department where they were both charged. Bowe, with the speeding and possession charges. He was granted bail at $750. The third man in the car was not charged, but did post bail for both. The Chiefs travel to Denver this weekend to play the Broncos in the biggest game of the season. It is unclear if he will play or if he will face any discipline from the Chiefs organization. An incredibly stupid decision by Bowe when his team is poised to go very far this season.
