Lamar Odom has been trying to make a comeback to the NBA since the season started after not being picked up by any team when he was a free agent. Odom has had a very public fall from grace with allegations of drug use and affairs with multiple women. He has vowed that he is now sober and looking to get back to playing basketball. His former team, the Los Angeles Clippers, have expressed interest in the past about having Odom rejoin the team. Head coach Doc Rivers even said that he had a sit down meeting with him.
While it looked like a good reunion for both sides, it appears the current players on the Clippers are not quite as excited about the reunion. Many players reportedly have doubts that Odom can get back to his Sixth Man of the Year playing days. Many think all he will be is a distraction for them. The Clippers are serious contenders to win an NBA title this year and with all that rumors about Odom and his still pending divorce, there is no room for it. With every passing day, it looks less and less likely that he will secure a spot on any NBA roster.
