Since the news broke that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was involved in an investigation in Miami, everyone has made their own assumptions about what happened. The police report does not accuse Kaepernick of any wrong doing. Now, he has decided to speak out on his own behalf on his Twitter page to clear his name. He tweeted:
The investigation has just begun and it already has gotten nasty with alleged drug use and possible assault. While athletes can do what they want in the offseason, this is the prime example of why they need to be careful of who they associate with. Regardless if he did anything wrong or not, his reputation has now been tarnished and he will forever be linked to this police report.
Kaepernick has a tough road ahead of him if this investigation progresses especially in a year that he was expecting to get a blockbuster contract in. The 49ers could easily use this as a reason to not give him as much money as they had planned.

Can’t really blame her if she does lash out. This is a pretty serious accusation that could ruin her son’s life.
