The first goal was a corner for Colombia, with a header into the goal by James Rodriguez in the 64th minute. Colombia followed up with a second goal scored by Juan Quintero in the 70th minute. The Ivory Coast immediately responded with a goal by Gervinho in the 73rd minute.

The game ended with another yellow card for the Ivory Coast given to Ismael Tiote for a foul in the final minute of the match. The final score was 2-1, Colombia. Both teams stunned viewers with this sudden, late turn of events in the fast-paced duel between two impressive competitors.
