The Colorado Avalanche is still without two of their key players, forwards Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon, as they continue their playoff push. Both Duchene and MacKinnon are sidelined on a week-to-week basis due to knee injuries. The two forwards have been sidelined and have yet to skate since.
UPDATE: Nathan MacKinnon (knee) & Matt Duchene (knee) will miss the next two games. Their status will be reevaluated afterward.

Duchene sustained his injury last week during the Av’s game last Wednesday at Vancouver and MacKinnon received his in the teams following game on Friday against the Calgary Flames. The two have played prominent roles, in terms of scoring, this season; Duchene currently leads the team with 29 goals and 56 points this season while MacKinnon is second with 21 goals and 52 points. They will miss at least the next two games and will be evaluated yet again following their next two games before the team departs for their two-game road trip beginning Monday in Nashville.
The Avs will miss the two scoring forwards in the next few games, but hopefully the two will be back in action soon. Until then, Colorado is the second wildcard for the Western conference with 80 points. The team announced an update on Twitter regarding Duchene and MacKinnon who will both be re-evaluated following their two-game sidelining.
