Yesterday, UFC president made a shocking announcement while of Sportscenter, confirmed that Conor McGregor had been pulled from UFC 200. McGregor was expected to fight Nate Diaz in a re-match after McGregor lost, his only loss of his UFC career.. He was pulled after refusing to attend a press conference to promote the fight. Currently, McGregor is in Iceland preparing for the re-match, however, he tweeted a message for UFC fans after hearing the news that he was pulled.
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.

White explained his decision to pull McGregor saying, “I respect Conor but it doesn’t make you exempt for showing up for the press conferences and all the promotional stuff that we have to do. We spend a lot of money with this stuff, and you have to do it, man,” White spoke with Jim Rome where he admitted he did not actually believe McGregor’s claim that he was retiring.
.@danawhite said Conor is “young, he’s emotional,” “Do I believe he’s retiring? I don’t. But if he is, I wish him well.”

White did say that if McGregor called him immediately, he would put him back on the event to fight against Diaz. All White expects is he promote the fight just like every other fighter is doing. It seems like that is exactly what is happening, however, as everyone has turned their attention to the fight and if McGregor will change his mind. If he chooses not to return, White added that Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar, who are scheduled to fight at the event, will do so for the featherweight title.
UPDATE: McGregor just took to his Facebook page to announce that he is not retiring and wants to fight at UFC 200.
