It is the first day of OTAs, and already there is a devastating injury. Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Sean Lee suffered an injury on the field today and was unable to walk off the field by himself. Lee will undergo an MRI shortly, but Cowboys are faring the worse. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting Dallas fears that Lee suffered a torn ACL.
It would not be the first injury for Lee who missed five games last season after suffering hamstring and neck injuries. He has also torn his right ACL completely and his left ACL partially during his years of playing at PennState. Lee appeared to slip when being blocked by the Cowboys first round draft pick Zack Martin. When asked about the play, Martin said, “Two guys playing hard, running to the ball. We’ll see what happens. … Hope for the best. He’s obviously a great player, leader of the defense.” Lee recently signed a six year contract extension with the Cowboys.
