It has already been declared that Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will sit out today and Brandon Weeden will get the start against Arizona. It was unlikely Romo would be healthy enough to make the start after suffering two small fractures in his back during Monday’s game against Washington. It is unclear how Romo was cleared to return to that game, but that is a whole different discussion in itself.
Arizona is coming off a huge win against another NFC East team, the Philadelphia Eagles. A late touchdown bomb to John Brown helped the Cardinals move to 6-1. The Cardinals have been off to a hot start despite being without many of their best players on defense and their starting quarterback Carson Palmer for a few weeks. Palmer is back now and this team looks to improve to an impressive 7-1 start.
While losing Romo is a massive blow for Dallas, they still have DeMarco Murray who has been their MVP all season. Murray has rushed for over 1,000 yards already on the season and has carried this team to their 6-2 start. The Cowboys cannot abandon the run! Sorry Jerry, it might not be as exciting as watching Dez Bryant make an unbelievable catch down the field, but it will win you games! The Cowboys have some other crushing injuries as left guard Ronald Leary and linebacker Justin Durant will miss today’s game.
Cowboys vs. Cardinals- who you takin?
