There is some good news for Nuggets fans who are still trying to comprehend the firing of head coach George Karl. Shooter Danilo Gallinari announced that during his second surgery for what was supposed to be a torn ACL, doctors discovered that the ACL was in fact not torn. Gallinari will have a completely different recovery schedule and this could mean an earlier return to the court.
In a video posted on his Facebook, Gallinari told his fans, in Italian, “I wanna give u a great news. My ACL wasn’t torn and wasn’t repaired or rebuilt!” Galliari suffered the injury on April 5th and did not play the rest of the season. In January 2012, he signed a 4 year- $42 million deal with the Nuggets.
