If this is true, Darren Sharper definitely put his foot in his mouth. According to a USA Today report, New Orleans police are saying Sharper went around and told friends that when he and another man had sex with the women accusing Sharper of rape, it was indeed non-consensual.
The former NFL safety is currently sitting in a Los Angeles jail cell after he was officially charged with two counts of rape in New Orleans. Authorities in New Orleans issued a no-bail warrant. In the warrant, Sharper is accused of having sexual intercourse with women who were under the influence of an unknown substance. The women allegedly woke up with a naked Sharper on top of them with no memory of what had happened.
He is also facing seven felonies in Los Angeles for drugging and raping women. He is also under investigation in three other states for similar crimes. Sharper played fourteen seasons in the NFL before becoming an analyst on the NFL Network. He was fired shortly after being arrested.
