In a strange turn of events, former NBA player Dennis Rodman was in North Korea. Actually, for a guy who wore a wedding dress, I get nothing is really strange. Rodman, along with members of the Harlem Globetrotters, landed on Tuesday for a filmed HBO documentary called “Basketball Diplomacy. Director Shane Smith said that the goal of the film is “finding common ground on the basketball court.” Rodman will also meet with Kim Jong Eun, the oppressive leader of North Korea, according to his agent.
It is a really cool film concept, but Dennis Rodman was chosen to represent the NBA? Also, is it really a good idea to visit such a tense area right now? Rodman and Kim Jong Eun in the same room? Is anyone else picturing just what Rodman would wear to this meeting or what could possibly come out of his mouth?
