Deron Williams may be on the New Jersey Nets, but he is really something to talk about. He is making that team still relevant. He got his revenge at the Garden when he dropped 38 points on Jeremy Lin, mostly from the three point line. His latest feat came last night when he broke the Nets’ franchise record of points scored in a game. He dropped 57 points against the Charlotte Bobcats.
Williams saw that the Bobcats were not double-teaming him and used that to his advantage. In the wake of the 50th anniversary of Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 point game, this just shows that players will have impressive games, but nothing that as impressive as a triple digit scoring night. Congrats to Deron for making Michael Jordan rip out what little hair he has left on his body after that performance.
