The New York Giants are 0-4 and have looked pathetic this season. Â Almost every game has been a blowout, and the spark that fueled their 2011 Super Bowl run has faded. Yesterday, they were embarrassed again in Kansas City by a revitalized team. Â Normally, special teams is one of the Giants areas of strength. Â However, punter Steve Weatherford punted one directly to Dexter McCluster who evaded tackle after tackle and ran it in for a touchdown.
To make matters worse, his touchdown celebration was the salsa dance as a way to get back at Victor Cruz for celebrating in their end zone in their home stadium. Â San Francisco 49ers Carlos Rogers also mocked Cruz’s dance which Cruz did not take too kindly to. Â Clearly, Cruz also felt disrespected by McCluster’s attempt to mock a dance that is meant to honor his late grandmother. Â Cruz took to his Twitter page to express his opinion on McCluster’s choice of touchdown celebrations:
Unfortunately, these two teams do not play each other often so we will not see these two go at again. Â However, Cruz did just sign a $40 million plus contract so I guess that makes him the winner in this one!
