When the Dolphins signed Brent Grimes, they could not have imagined the baggage that came with him. The Dolphins’ matchup against the Indianapolis Colts was a 16-12 loss, but thats not what people are talking about. All of that attention has been given to Brent Grimes’ wife, Miko Grimes; even though her Twitter account is private, her tweets have been published for the world to see exactly what she thinks.
While some of the tweets were about some Miami writers, some of them were about Dolphins starting QB, Ryan Tannehill. This is not the first time Grimes has tweeted out her displeasure with Tannehill. Two tweets in particular really target Tannehill, “I knew this qb stunk the minute we signed to this team but I tried to keep quiet so I didn’t discourage bae from believing in his team” and “My Column: how many people does Ryan Tannehill have to get fired before you realize he’s the problem.” According to the Miami Herald, the organization has spoken to Brent Grimes numerous times about his wife’s tweets criticizing the team.
Grimes was arrested earlier in the season before a game, but the charges against her were eventually dropped. Her arrest led to her being fired from the sports radio show that she co-hosted which left her to use Twitter to share her opinions. The one thing that is really confusing is why Grimes decides to share such unpopular opinions on Twitter. Why would she choose such a public domain to share her mostly negative and profanity-laden rants? Whatever her reasoning is, it is clear that if Grimes cannot stop, her husband will be the one who will pay.
