In the first step of relinquishing power, disgraced Los Angels Clippers owner Donald Sterling has agreed to hand over power of the team to his wife, Shelly. Mrs. Sterling is not opposed to the sale of the team, but wants to be in control of it. If Donald Sterling had remained in control of the team, the NBA would have conducted an involuntary sale to whomever they wanted.
The league was also set to to allow team owners to vote on ousting Sterling from his ownership. The vote will likely not happen now. Hopefully this will be the first step in getting the entire Sterling family out of the NBA and off our televisions. I think I speak for all sf us when I say, please do not give V. Stiviano a reality show!
