After a very long wait, the Price Fielder watch is finally over. With an offseason that was all about top free agents getting the most money possible Fielder’s signing was no exception. Fielder’s offseason rumors were mild at best, overshadowed by the monumental signings by both the Marlins and the Angels. However, it appears Fielder has found his home in the AL. Apparently, the Detroit Tigers have landed the free agent first baseman for a reported nine years, $214 million deal. He is a career .282 hitter with 230 homers and 650 RBIs.
