Another season of college football is set to end and it was one filled crazy games with bright young stars. Heisman winner Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles faces off against Heisman finalist Tre Mason and the Auburn Tigers. This is sure to be an exciting matchup for the final BCS Championship game.
Another undefeated team will face an SEC powerhouse with one loss this year as it played out last year. Last year, Alabama blasted Notre Dame and won the title. Jameis Winston has gotten all the media headlines for FSU for leading his team, but he also has a very stingy defense on the other side of the ball. Opponents are only averaging 10.7 against the Seminoles, which ranks first in the country. The Tiger have the top rushing offense in the country, making this matchup that much more intriguing.
While Florida State overpowered their opponents almost all season, Auburn had one of the wildest rides ever in football history. A team that was expected to be in rebuilding mode with a new head coach and just one year after going 3-9. It may have been a fun and theatrical ride for Auburn, but their defense will have to play better in order to stop Winston. The quarterback passed for 3,800 yards and had two receivers with double digit touchdown receptions.
These are two dynamic teams that are exciting to watch. Now that they each have had time to prepare for one another, it will be a game of who made the right adjustments, not about destiny. Both of these teams got here because of their talent. Will Auburn be able to run the ball enough with Mason to keep Winston off the field? Will Winston handle the pressure of leading his team to a perfect season? For the final BCS Championship game, Florida State or Auburn- who you takin?
