Minicamps have just started and the New York Giants have already made some changes. Tight end Jake Ballard, who tore his ACL in the Super Bowl, was waived from the team after he failed a physical. If he clears waivers, he is expected to rejoin the team. However, he is expected to miss the entire season so either way he will not be on the field in any capacity. It seems likely that the Giants will resign him in 2013 as he continued to impress all season and emerge as one of Eli’s favorite targets. He was one of two tight ends to tear their ACL in the Super Bowl, Travis Beckum was the other. The Giants made an offseason move with tight ends when they acquired Martellus Bennett who was a free agent. They also picked up Adrien Robinson in the draft. Rocky Bernard, defensive tackle, has rejoined the team and is entering his 11th season. He adds depth to the position for the already impressive Giants’ defense.
