This morning New York Giants fans were greeted with some positive news about one of their promising stars. Terrell Thomas has been in the Giants systems for quite awhile. However, the corner back has always been held back by injuries including three ACL tears. He surprised fans today when he took to his Instagram account to post the above photo of his helmet with the caption, “Guess whose back??? #NYG“.
That prompted the Giants to announce that they re-signed Thomas for next season. If Thomas can come back healthy it would be great for the Giants who struggled all season with giving up the deep ball. He would also become one of the only players to come back after tearing an ACL three times; he could win the MVP if he comes back dominant. To accommodate Thomas’ bad knees, the Giants will consider moving him to the safety position. If that does happen expect the Giants to use the three safety look with Antrel Rolle, Stevie Brown, and Terrell Thomas leaving Kenny Phillips to sign somewhere else.
