The Giants look to bounce back after a disappointing loss to their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles. They will have to do it without many of their starters. Five players have been ruled out including wide receiver Hakeem Nicks who is missing his third straight game. The other four starters include Jayron Hosley, Kenny Phillips, Ramses Barden, and Rocky Bernard. Offensive tackle David Diehl and linebacker Keith Rivers are also listed as doubtful. Hopefully, all these players will be back in time for the 49ers when the Giants will need every available player for that extremely tough matchup.
Luckily, the Giants are facing the 0-4 Browns with a rookie at quarterback. This is a big chance for the defensive line to get back to superior and show that their dominance has not gone anywhere. Justin Tuck is still looking for his first sack of the season.
After squashing his beef with running back LeSean McCoy, it appears that Osi Umenyiora has started another feud with Browns’ running back Trent Richardson. Richardson had said that he thinks he can get good yardage on the Giants. Osi came out and told Trent to come and get it. There to defend his fellow Giant, Mathias Kiwanuka stated, “If he proves it, I’ll shake his hand and tap him on the butt. If he doesn’t, I expect never to hear from him again.” Looks like the Giants will be focusing on Richardson as they should as he is their biggest offensive weapon.
Now this should be an easy game for New York, but that is usually when they struggle. They hold themselves back with their lazy play, but it seems that the Giants saw the error in their ways last week and are looking to turn it around this week.
