It seems that Clay Matthews from the Green Bay Packers is the latest to attack the defending Super Bowl champions and their playoff ride. Matthews came out and said that the Giants did not beat them, but instead the Packers just did not play their best game in the playoffs. When asked about his opinion of Matthews’ words, defensive captain Justin Tuck had this to say, “Thank you for giving us the game, Clay, I appreciate it a lot. Did they play their best ball?” Tuck continued. “I don’t know. But we won the football game. I don’t think they gave us anything.” It sure seemed as though the Giants just played a better game than the Packers who left quarterback Aaron Rodgers vulnerable multiple times. This is far from the first time that the Giants have been attacked for “getting lucky” on their playoff journey. Most people in sports today are not even picking the defending champions to win the NFC East again. How do the Giants feel about it? They embrace it. It is what drives them to prove everyone wrong. And when Tuck was asked about the nest time the Giants and Packers on November 25th he has this to say, “It is football, it is a funny game. Talk is cheap. Play the game. We will see Green Bay again this year so we will see who lays down that week.” Sounds like it is going to be the game to watch.
Could somebody tell Clay Matthews that America really loves guys who don’t say stupid shit?
