New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski had his fourth surgery on his broken forearm. During his surgery he had old plates taken out that doctors feared would get infected, but good new for the Gronk and Patriots fans, his surgery was successful. New plates were put in and he will not need a fifth surgery.
This surgery will finally put an end to Gronkowski’s nagging forearm issues. He originally broke it during the fourth quarter during a game against the Indianapolis Colts. He tried to make a comeback during the playoffs, but rebroke the bone during the first play against the Houston Texans. It is still unclear if he will be ready for training camp and more importantly, the start of the season.
