There was no mask to rip off and no sleeves to blame today as Lebron James and the Miami Heat lost their third straight game. After Lebron James had a career-high 61 points against the Charlotte Bobcats, the Heat have lost three straight games. First it was the red hot Houston Rockets, then it was a NBA Finals rematch in San Antonio, and today, a tough overtime loss in Chicago.
After his best scoring night, James has seen his field goal percentage plummet over the last three games. Against the Bobcats, James’ field goal percentage was .667 (22-33). When Miami travelled to San Antonio, James was held in check by Kawhi Leonard and had his worst performance, going 6-18 (.333) in that game.
Dwyane Wade had a good game, scoring 25 for Miami. Unfortunately, the Heat had no answer for Joakim Noah, who had a double-double. In their previous game against the Spurs, Tim Duncan also had a double-double.
This is not the first time this season the Heat have lost three straight games. They had a three game stretch in which they lost to both New York teams. They have been lucky that the Indiana Pacers are currently on a four game losing streak and remain only two games ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings.
