Thanksgiving is all about spending the day with those closest to you and being thankful for the many blessing we all take for granted every day. The Miami Heat have a lot to be thankful after winning back to back NBA titles. This year, however, they will be unable to be home for the holiday and Lebron James had an idea to still make it a great day with family. The Heat will be in Cleveland to play the Cavaliers this week and James has opened his doors to his teammates. James is originally from Akron, Ohio and currently has a residence there.
He told his teammates to come over for a comfortable and casual Thanksgiving meal that will be prepared by his new wife Savannah and their personal chef. James said. “We don’t mind playing on those holidays. Wish we could have been here, but I am happy that I’m able to do something for the team for Thanksgiving.”
It has always been dramatic when he returns back to the team he left. A team that he made relevant and even took to a Finals appearance. Originally, the fans looked at their former hero as a turncoat, abandoning them for the fun in the sun offered by playing in South Beach. Now, the fans have started to lighten up and even admit that they want their hometown hero back when he is eligible to opt out of his contract at the end of the season.
