Hope Solo was arrested on two counts of domestic-violence assault on Saturday morning. During the investigation, she is being held without bail at the South Correctional Entity Regional Jail in Des Moines, Washington.
Kirkland police Lt. Mike Murray told The Seattle Times that Solo was arrested overnight, accused of striking her sister and nephew at her home in Kirkland, Washington. He also said both the sister and nephew suffered “visible injuries.” Murray went on to say that officers were called to the home because of an assault and noise disturbance. The house is shared with her husband and former NFL player, Jerramy Stevens.
“We are aware of the situation,” U.S. Soccer said in a statement. “At this point, we don’t have any further comments.”
