It seems that the longer that practice takes place, the more injuries keep piling up and it’s only Tuesday which is not a good sign. Two of the biggest injuries from today occurred to Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy and Dallas Cowboys G Zack Martin and both injuries occurred within a matter of minutes of each other which is even scarier.

The first to report the news of McCoy’s injury was Jon Doss via his twitter, “LeSean McCoy clearly holding hamstring as he heads to the locker room…non-contact injury during 7-on-7s”. It looks like the injury occurred to his left hamstring, but HC Rex Ryan made a few comments to the press in regards to the injury. Ryan said, “LeSean McCoy has a hamstring injury. The hamstring is in tact, not off the bone. We’re getting an MRI on it.” and sources have ruled that McCoy’s injury appears to be a strain. Right now, it looks like the Bills aren’t really concerned about McCoy’s injury besides what Ryan said at the press conference. Currently, there has been no statement released on how severe his injury is or how long McCoy is expected to be out.

As I have deemed myself, president of the Zack Martin fan club, this is probably one of the tougher things I’ve had to write. During the Dallas Cowboys joint practice with the St. Louis Rams, it has been reported that Zack Martin has been injured. Todd Archer was one of the first to break the news on his twitter, “Cowboys RG Zack Martin down after second run play” and then in his next few tweets, Archer shared the Cowboys concern for Martin, but Martin was able to walk off the field which is a good sign.

According to NFL.com, GM Jerry Jones shared that Martin appears to have a “stinger”. For those who don’t know what a stinger is, it is a neurological injury that usually occurs during sports and symptoms “include painful electrical sensations radiating through one of the arms.” It is unclear how severe the stinger Martin sustained is or how long/if he will be out for.
