Celtics forward Jared Sullinger was seen this morning turning himself in after being arrested over the weekend. Sullinger turned himself in to Waltham District Court for charges stemming from an argument with his girlfriend. The exact charges are assault and battery, malicious destruction of property, and witness intimidation. His girlfriend alleges that there has been a history of abuse and he pinned her down to the bed and threw her phone when she tried to call police. Sullinger was released on $5,000 bail and will have to return to court September 19th. The woman did not file a restraining order surprisingly.
Sullinger and the victim met at Ohio State. She told the judge that she did not feel that she was in danger. The fight allegedly broke out over suspected infidelity. Sullinger is only allowed to contact his girlfriend via phone or with another person present. Now word on if the Celtics will keep him on the roster or not.
