Jaromir Jagr hasn’t scored a point in seven games and to add to his frustrations, he does not know what his future with the New Jersey Devils holds for him. There is no sign of the team making the playoffs unless a miracle happens, and his ice time has fallen to a mere 13 minutes in the last two games.

With the trade deadline right around the corner and swift moves happening throughout the league already, Jagr feels that there is no insight on whats to happen to him, except for the fact that he is expected to be given even less ice time if he isn’t traded and the Devils aren’t in playoff contention. With the coaching change came a great damper on Jagrs past success and it doesn’t seem as if it is going to get any better, he isn’t even making it seem like he wants to retire with the team anymore.

He is realistic about situations like this and knows that guys who have got a contract and athletes that are much younger are going to have a lot more ice time than him, if any at all. With teams out there seeking power play help, and Jagr eager to jump on any chance that may arise in his favor, it is safe to say that there is a market for guys with his experience. If Jagr were to ask to be traded, general manager ad coach, Lou Lamoriello, who believes the Devils can still be a playoff team, would probably give him what he wants.
