Well, I can’t say I did not see this one coming. Jason Kidd has decided that after nineteen seasons, it is finally time to hang it up. “My time in professional basketball has been an incredible journey, but one that must come to an end after 19 years,” Kidd announced. Kidd played awful in the playoffs this year not scoring a point for the entire second round against the Indiana Pacers.
However, Kidd is still one of the greatest to ever play and will forever be remembered as one of the top passers and three point shooters. Always a triple double threat, Kidd was one of the most versatile players who made those around him better. Kidd won a title when he played with the Dallas Mavericks and reached the Finals in back to back years as a member of the New Jersey Nets. He is also a two-time gold medal winner, along with numerous other awards. Kidd had a great career, but it was clear he had nothing left to give.
