I never thought I would be writing this, but the New York Jets offense actually looked great. After going an entire preseason with scoring a single touchdown, the offense put up 48 points. The Jets managed to score in every quarter and “main” quarterback Mark Sanchez threw for three touchdowns. The “other” quarterback Tim Tebow, you may have heard of him, did not do so well and was actually booed by the New York fans. Tebow only had 11 yards on 5 carries. Ouch, that is definitely not going to cut it in New York. The biggest surprise to me, however, was that Sanchez was actually never sacked. Ryan Fitzpatrick, quarterback of the Buffalo Bills had a less than stellar performance throwing 3 touchdowns AND 3 interceptions. A huge loss for the Bills’ offense was superstar running back Fred Jackson getting hurt and not being able to play the entire game. The Bills also lost receiver David Nelson, but it was clear they were never going to catch the Jets who went up 21-0 after the first quarter. The Jets definitely impressed many today and silenced a lot of critics, but it is still Week 1 and the NFL is never determined by one week.
