KRLD-AM in Dallas is reporting that a grand jury has indicted former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel on a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an incident in late January. Manziel is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, several times while driving her back to her home in Fort Worth.

According to police reports, Manziel forced Crowley into a car. After she tried to jump out of the moving car, he dragged her by the hair back into the car. She allegedly told a valet at Hotel Zaza that she “was scared for her life”.  He is barred from seeing Crowley until Feb. 3, 2018 due to a protective order.

This is another troubling headline for the embattled quarterback, who has long made headlines for his wild ways. Last week, he was fired by his second agent, Drew Rosenhaus, in three months and lost an endorsement deal with Nike.  He has also been accused of trashing a rental home in California, causing $30,000 worth of damage.  It seems highly unlikely the quarterback will find another starting job anytime soon if he continues with this behavior.
