Offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has made it clear that he wants to play football professionally again, but not with the Miami Dolphins. Martin is at the center of a major controversy going on about whether of not fellow players bullied him. By all accounts, it sounds like he was not and instead they were just joking around that went too far. One name that has been singled out as the main culprit, Richie Incognito. Incognito has been suspended indefinitely, but stated his side of the story yesterday in a sit down interview. He said that he and Martin were good friends and that Martin told him that he did not blame Incognito or any of the other players.
Whether you believe Incognito or not, it was quite obvious that one of these players was not going to return to the Dolphins’ locker room. Jonathan Martin seems to know that he has played his last down as a member of the Miami Dolphins. That definitely is what needs to happen. It seems that a lot of people will be out of Miami by the time this season ends. Martin is expected to make a video statement explaining his side of the story this week. Tonight, they play on Monday Night Football against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A win here is very, very needed.
